Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy that helps children learn new skills and build more independent, fulfilling lives. At its core, ABA helps us understand how behavior works, how it’s influenced by the environment, and how learning happens. ABA helps children develop meaningful skills while reducing behaviors that may get in the way of daily life.
ABA isn’t a one-size-fi ts-all program. In ABA therapy, we look at each child as a whole person. Therapy is tailored to their individual needs, strengths, and family goals. Every treatment plan is carefully chosen and individualized to match their unique needs, strengths, and goals. Therapy sessions might look like play, but behind each activity is a science-backed approach–all designed to help your child build confi dence and make meaningful progress.
ABA is recognized as the gold standard of autism treatment by leading organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, National Institute of Mental Health, and U.S. Surgeon General. It is one of the most well-researched therapies for autism, with over 50 years of data supporting its effectiveness.
Not all ABA therapy is the same. At Let’s Play N Grow™, we offer two distinct approaches to meet the unique needs of each child: Comprehensive ABA and Focused ABA. The recommended approach for your child will be determined by our Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) after a thorough assessment, ensuring it aligns with their specific needs and goals.
Unlike many early intervention clinics that require a rigid 40-hour schedule, Let’s Play N Grow™ offers flexible programming based on your child’s individual needs. We believe that therapy should be customized, sustainable, and designed to support meaningful progress, without overwhelming families or children. Support should meet your child where they are, not the other way around.
A more intensive program designed to address multiple areas of development, ranging from communication skills to behavior management. Ideal for children who require broader support across various skill areas.
At Let’s Play N Grow™, our ABA therapy sessions are rooted in Natural Environment Teaching (NET), a child-led model emphasizing learning through play.
ABA is most commonly used to support children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), but its benefits extend beyond autism. ABA can also support individuals with developmental delays, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and/or behavior disorders.
ABA therapy is appropriate for people of all ages, from toddlers to adults. It is especially powerful when started early, but research shows meaningful progress is possible at any age. Whether your child is a toddler just beginning to explore the world to a teenager learning independence, ABA can provide the support they need.
Many children with autism also have co-occurring conditions such as speech delays, anxiety, or sensory differences. ABA can be adapted to address these challenges, making it a flexible and holistic support option for families. By tailoring the strategies in therapy to meet their specific needs as well as partnering with outside service providers, ABA offers families a flexible, comprehensive support system to address these challenges holistically.
ABA therapy is about more than behavior, it’s about increasing quality of life. ABA focuses on teaching skills that help children navigate the world more independently and confidently. Skills taught through ABA are always tailored to the child, but often include:
Every skill is taught using positive reinforcement and carefully structured support, with progress tracked through consistent data collection and ongoing adjustments. The goal is for your child to gain skills that stick across different people, places, and situations.
For many children, the ultimate goal of ABA therapy is to transition successfully into school or other less restrictive group settings. At Let’s Play N Grow™, we prepare children for these environments by teaching skills such as:
Our team works closely with families to ensure that the skills learned in therapy are effectively generalized across different settings, including school, home, and the community.
Families are an essential part of a child’s progress, which is why caregiver collaboration is a core part of what we do.
Our BCBAs meet weekly with caregivers to share progress, answer questions, and provide practical strategies that can be used at home and in the community. These meetings allow families to feel confident supporting their child’s growth outside of therapy sessions.
We know children make the most progress when families and clinicians are working together.
Our goal is always to ensure families feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout their child’s journey.
We believe every child’s path is unique. That’s why we tailor all therapy goals to align with your family’s values and your child’s short- and long-term vision. We collect data during every session to track progress and make data-informed adjustments, ensuring therapy remains precisely aligned with your child’s evolving needs.
At Let’s Play N Grow, every part of our clinic was intentionally designed to help children learn, connect, and grow through play. Instead of therapy only happening at a table, our environment allows kids to practice meaningful life skills in spaces that look and feel like the real world.
Children move throughout the clinic exploring different environments, following their interests, and building skills along the way. What might look like play is actually full of opportunities for learning, independence, and connection.
Our City Center is one of the most special parts of our clinic. It was designed to help children practice everyday life skills through pretend play and real world experiences.
Within the City Center you will find spaces like a medical facility, supermarket, bedroom, and library. These environments give children the chance to practice things they will experience in their daily lives.
A child might practice visiting the doctor, grocery shopping, making the bed, or sitting down to read a book. These moments allow us to build communication, social skills, and independence in ways that feel natural and meaningful.
City Center also includes our Lego and creative building area where kids can build towers, cities, and whatever else they can imagine. While they are creating, they are strengthening fine motor skills, practicing problem solving, and learning how to collaborate with peers.
It is one of the best ways we help kids build confidence for the world around them.
Our game room was created especially for our older learners.
This space gives kids the opportunity to play games with peers in a relaxed and social environment. They might play air hockey, shoot hoops, or spend time playing games together.
These moments naturally create opportunities to practice turn taking, teamwork, communication, and managing frustration when things do not go their way. These are important skills kids need when spending time with friends outside of therapy.
Our Learn N Play classroom helps children build the skills they need for school success.
In this space we work on things like participating in group activities, following directions, raising hands, and transitioning between tasks. These are the kinds of skills that help children feel more confident when entering preschool or elementary classrooms.
Learn N Play allows children to practice learning in a group environment while still receiving the support they need.
Movement is such an important part of development, which is why our clinic includes large gyms designed for active play.
Children can explore slides, trampolines, sensory tunnels, climbing equipment, and more. These activities help build strength, coordination, and body awareness while also supporting sensory regulation.
For many kids, movement helps their bodies feel more regulated and ready to learn. These spaces give them a chance to move, explore, and have fun while building important developmental skills.
